Privacy Policy

Effective date: July 1, 2026

This policy explains how Plumbline Labs ("Plumbline," "we," "us") collects, uses, shares, and protects information when you visit our website or use our services. A core principle of our product is honest measurement, and we apply the same standard to how we handle data.

01 Information we collect

We collect information in these ways:

02 How we use information

We use the information we collect to:

We do not use the personal data in your connected advertising or store accounts to build profiles of individuals, and we do not sell personal information.

03 Advertising platform data and compliance

Plumbline accesses advertising data only through official platform APIs and only with your authorization. Our access and use of data from Google, Meta, TikTok, and other connected platforms is subject to each platform's terms and policies, and we handle that data in accordance with those requirements.

You can revoke Plumbline's access to any connected advertising account at any time through that platform's settings or by contacting us. Revoking access stops further data collection from that account.

04 Store and order data (e-commerce integrations)

When you connect an e-commerce platform such as Shopify, Plumbline reads your store's order and product data through the platform's official API, using the read-only permissions you grant, so we can measure advertising outcomes against real revenue. We access order-level information (order totals, dates, currency, financial status, refunds, and referral/UTM attribution) and product catalog information. We request only read access: we never create, edit, or delete anything in your store, and we never manage your campaigns or storefront.

Although a store's orders can include your customers' personal information (such as names, emails, and addresses), Plumbline does not request, use, or store those customer-identifying fields. We process order data in aggregate to produce revenue and measurement reporting for you, and we do not build profiles of your individual customers.

We honor deletion and data-subject requests. When you or your platform sends a data-erasure request (for example, Shopify's customer-redaction or shop-redaction webhooks), we delete the associated data. When you uninstall the app, we revoke our access and delete your store's data. You can disconnect Plumbline from your store at any time through the platform's settings.

05 How we share information

We share information only in limited circumstances:

We do not sell your personal information, your advertising data, or your store data.

06 Data retention

We retain information for as long as needed to provide our services and for legitimate business or legal purposes. Store data is kept in aggregated form for measurement and is deleted or de-identified when no longer needed, or upon an erasure request or app uninstall. You may request deletion of your information as described below.

07 Security

We use administrative, technical, and organizational safeguards designed to protect information, including restricted access controls, tenant isolation, encryption of data in transit and at rest, and secure storage of credentials and access tokens in a key-management-backed vault. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, but we work to protect your information and review our practices regularly.

08 Your rights and choices

Depending on your location, you may have the right to access, correct, delete, or restrict the use of your personal information, or to object to certain processing. To exercise any of these rights, contact us at the address below. You may also disconnect any linked advertising or store account at any time.

09 Cookies and analytics

Our website may use cookies and similar technologies to operate the site and understand how it is used. You can control cookies through your browser settings. We do not use this information to track you across unrelated third-party websites.

10 Children's privacy

Our services are intended for businesses and are not directed to children under 16. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children.

11 Changes to this policy

We may update this policy from time to time. When we make material changes, we will update the effective date above and, where appropriate, provide additional notice.
